She served her jail sentence of two years and two months before appealing for her case.On Friday, Justice Chan Seng Onn overturned the convictions in the High Court after Ms Liyani appealed her case.The high court took into consideration that the Liew family had \u201cimproper motives\u201d and took steps to prevent Miss Liyani from lodging a complaint to the Ministry of Manpower for illegal deployment.Since the case made the news all across Singapore, netizens have rallied behind Miss Liyani, providing words of support and comfort to her.
