Additionally, they must also demonstrate that they are currently searching for a job, or undergoing training.\u00a0Recap: What is the COVID-19 Support Grant?\u00a0Launched in May this year, the CSG aims to provide financial support to Singaporeans and permanent residents who have lost their jobs, placed on involuntary no-pay leave or sustained significant salary loss as a result of the pandemic. Applications were initially due to close after 30 September.\u00a0Currently, applicants of the grant need to be a Singaporean citizen or permanent resident aged 16 and above, living in a property with an annual value of not more than $21,000, and a per capita income of not more than $3,100. The grant provides applicants with up to $800 a month for three months. As of 22 September, more than $90 million has been disbursed to over 60,000 applicants under the grant.\u00a0When will the new criteria take effect?\u00a0According to the statement from MSF, individuals who meet the current criteria may continue to apply for the grant until 6 p.m. on 30 September.
