To verify the new address, applicants will have to enter the PIN via the e-service. Upon verification, applicants will receive an instant acknowledgement that their change of address is successful. The new address will be updated across the databases of public agencies in the One-Stop Address Reporting (OSCARS) initiative within one working day.\u00a0A second mailer containing a sticker bearing the new address will be sent to applicants. The sticker is to be affixed to the back of the applicant\u2019s Identification Card (IC) according to the instructions provided.The e-service will be available in English, Chinese, Malay and Tamil.\u00a0Can I help someone else change their address?Those residing in the same household will be able to update their address with a single application. If they are unable to submit their applications through the e-service, they may appoint proxies who are SingPass holders to submit the application on their behalf.\u00a0The proxies must provide the applicant’s NRIC number and its date of issue to access the e-service. To complete the process, proxies must also obtain and enter the PIN mailed to the applicant’s new address.What if I am unable to find a proxy?Those who are unable to apply for a change of address online and do not have proxies may visit ICA for assistance.What is the purpose of the new e-service?The new e-service is part of ICA\u2019s journey towards its vision of Services Centre Next Generation: \u201cNo Fuss; No Visit; No Waiting\u201d, in order to streamline its administrative processes and service for residents.Is there anything else I should take note of?Although the e-service aims to ease the process of changing one\u2019s address, the ICA also reminds users that enforcement action will be taken against anyone who misuses it.\u00a0Under the National Registration Regulations, anyone who reports a false residential address can be fined up to $3,000, jailed for two years, or both.
