A Netflix adaptation of popular children\u2019s horror fiction series Mr Midnight premieres on 24 October.Borrowing a page from the genre, the shocker announcement on 29 Sep made waves through the pages of Mr Midnight\u2019s Facebook, its book publisher\u2019s flame of the forest publishing\u2019s instagram, and a newly minted account for the show on instagram in what seems to be a coordinated scare tactic.Starring in the show as the four teenaged characters are Malaysian actor Idan Aedan, Australians Caleb Monk and Nikki Dekker, and Singapore actor Chen Yixin.Ms Chen, daughter of Singapore TV celebrities Edmund Chen and Xiang Yun, told 8world News that she went through more than \u201cfive rounds of auditions\u201d before getting the role and is \u201cvery happy she got along with the foreign actors\u201d.When approached by TheHomeGround Asia, Ms Chen, who also acted in Disney+ Precious Is The Night and MeWatch Teenage Textbook, the series, said, &#8220;It was like living in a dream.&#8221;Also in the cast are Singaporean actors Fir Rahman and Lim Yu-Beng. The show, according to 8world News, was filmed in Batam for five months and is listed with a PG rating on Netflix.Idan Aedan, Caleb Monk, Nikki Dekker, and Chen Yixin will be starring in the show as the teenaged leads.
