This exhibition shines the spotlight on the medium of printmaking and the latitudes it offers artists to explore new frontiers in their practice. Intersections presents prints created by eight Singaporean artists during their residencies with local print studio Pulp Editions. Expanding upon the artists’ aesthetic and material experiments with printmaking techniques, it seeks to broaden conversations around notions of collaboration, exploration and negotiation. The exhibition also investigates the convergence of the planned and the incidental, as well as the different layers and dimensions of possibilities that emerge during the artmaking process. Set up within the gallery space, a printmaking studio lends insight into the different facets of the lithographic process.
