Travel might seem like a thing of the past but with news of vaccines being mass distributed around the world, travel might once again become a reality for us all. In the meantime, it never hurts to dream; where’s the first country on your list that you’d like to head to?
If America is high up on your list, you’re not alone. Known as the land of opportunity, it’s said that in America, everything and anything is possible. Singapore, unfortunately, is situated a long way off from America; however, with the reintroduction of a non-stop Singapore-New York flight, getting there has become a whole lot easier!
Non-stop Singapore-New York Flights
After a five-year hiatus, Singapore recently relaunched the non-stop Singapore-New York flights. The non-stop Singapore-New York route is, in fact, the world’s longest non-stop commercial flight, and will be flown with Airbus A350-900ULR aircrafts.
The first flight took to the skies in November 2020. Interestingly, the aircraft has eliminated the economy class cabin. Featuring 161 seats in total, 67 seats belong to business class, with 94 seats in the premium economy category.

Best seats in the house
Even better, out of these 161 seats, there are a specific six seats that have risen in popularity. After all, every little bit of comfort counts when it comes to a non-stop journey that entail a whopping 19 hours in a pressurised cabin.
Passengers would usually favour the seats at exit rows for more legroom. However, make a beeline for the last three rows of the cabin, where the crème de la crème of seats are located. These six seats are arranged in a spectacular solo fashion, with no neighbouring seats on either side. Imagine that! There are three seats on each side of the cabin, and they are naturally snapped up in no time.
These solo seats allow passengers to get up and about as much as they wish, take up the entire armchair without worrying about disturbing the neighbours, and even enjoy their own personal storage bin by the side of their seat. The storage bin is by no means small, mind you; it’s big enough to contain a roller bag, and can even function as an additional side table for extra space.

No more jostling for aisle seats just so you can stretch your legs – these solo seats allow you to do just that, and more! Each seat also has a window of its own, giving you an unobstructed personal view of sunrises, sunsets, and an endless sea of fluffy clouds.
These seats are in the Premium Economy category, and boast a 13.3-inch wide in-flight entertainment screen where you can watch content in high-definition, an adjustable headrest, a personal reading lamp, leg rest, foot rest, and more. The seat is also equipped with multiple USB charging ports and a 110V AC power outlet for all your charging needs.
