Healthier SG is said to be long overdue in overhauling the country’s healthcare structure, changing decades-long “sick care” system to one that promotes healthier lifestyle and improves the quality of life of those living in the country.
The Health Ministry (MOH) has articulated key features of Healthier SG, which include family doctors delivering preventive care, community partners supporting lifestyle adjustments and the necessary enablers to “make it easy to do the right thing”.
But there are legitimate challenges to overcome for a successful roll-out.
