Spokesperson for event organiser IMC group tells TheHomeGround Asia that the group is “stoked to launch the festival”.

“It’s been over two years in the making and while we were disappointed to be stalled by the Covid-19 pandemic, IMC used this time to curate an exciting comeback, with two full days of power-packed performances by some of Asia’s best. We hope the fans who’ve patiently waited, will get their fill at Bayfront Event Space this October,” she says.

The inaugural One Love Asia Festival was originally slated for May 2020 but was postponed due to the pandemic. This year’s long-awaited edition also paves the way for the return of iconic music events like ZoukOut and Jay Chou, both set for action in December.

The spokesperson says that although their concert-series like “‘ALIVE’, ‘ROCK ON!’, and ‘LIVE IS LIFE’ have been successful runs”, One Love Asia Festival 2022 is on a far larger scale, bringing together more award-winning Asian artistes, to cater to a wider audience under one big tent.

“As our flagship music festival, One Love Asia Festival 2022 is an important milestone in our aim to grow our music and lifestyle festival footprint in Asia. Being a vibrant cosmopolitan, with year-long summers and ideal location, we think Singapore is perfectly positioned to develop into Asia’s music and lifestyle hub. We’re hoping to play our part in developing our live entertainment industry. There’s much that can be done, from supporting budding young artistes, sponsoring live events and curating experiences like One Love Asia Festival to enrich the arts landscape,” she says.

Doors for the concert open at 4pm and each act is slated to play a 40-minute set.

General admission tickets cost S$121 for one day and S$221 for a two-day pass, while premium admissions tickets, which allow goers to enjoy a differentiated entrance and access to more facilities, cost S$161 for one day and S$281 for a two-day pass.

“Our objective for our festivals is quite simple, to offer an escape for people to come together as one, through a common love for music and life in general. So, One Love is simple, yet all-encompassing,” the spokesperson says.

And due to overwhelming response, the organisers have added more 2-day passes for both premium admission and general admission to the festival.
