It is no doubt that the Internet has become an integral part of our lives. With the Covid-19 pandemic and the restrictions imposed, many have turned to the virtual world for school, work and even socialising.
With this reliance of the Internet comes its ugly side — one wrong move in public and you end up at the wrong end of the online vigilante stick.
Take busker Jeff Ng, for instance. One moment he was at a high, wowing crowds by the hundreds at his weekly performances outside The Cathay, the next, he was called out for shushing fans during his performance and calling someone a liar for unfollowing him on social media.
