Fill Me In
Razer fans – this one’s for you. The first-ever RazerCon will take place online on 10 October.
The full-day online fan event will be packed with gaming goodness with product launches, tech demos, game reveals and more.
What to expect
Things will kick off at 5 p.m. (GMT+8) with an opening from Razer CEO Min-Liang Tan in a “global mixed reality keynote”. Set against a backdrop of Singapore’s skyline, Tan will deliver an immersive experience that incorporates augmented real-time effects and live-composted visuals.
Those with Razer Chroma RGB gear are encouraged to turn them on, so that it can be synchronised with the stream for a unique RGB lighting-reacting show.
Look out for special announcements made throughout the convention., such as new product developments, and exclusive content showcases from developers like Romero Games and Perfect World Entertainment.
The convention is also hosting digital meet and greet sessions with popular streamers: Dennis “Cloakzy” Lepore, Jack “CourageJD” Dunlop, and Amber “PaladinAmber” Wadham.
The convention will end with musical performances from Swedish heavy metal band Sabaton, and Herman Li of power metal band Dragonforce. Razer will also be announcing the addition of top EDM artists that will be making an appearance soon.

Five years in the making
Tan has shared that the idea of creating a convention for Razer fans by Razer fans has been brought up many times. Tan first toyed with the idea in 2015, asking fans where RazerCon should be hosted on his Facebook page.
With the COVID-19 pandemic, it would have been impossible to host a physical convention. However, a virtual one would be “an opportunity to celebrate gaming and the Razer community, while setting a new standard for online events,” he said.
