Say hello to the long weekend! A much-awaited break is here; how are you planning to spend it? Here are some ideas to keep in mind.
1. Easter Egg Hunt
Easter is such a fun time for kids! Go all out with an Easter Egg Hunt, there are a fair number of these happening all around the island. Singapore Philatelic Museum is organising one at Fort Canning Park on both 3 and 10 April. Seize the chance to hunt down cute little rainbow eggs, all while on a race to complete various challenges along the way.
Other hunts include going on an ‘egg-venture’ with Otah the Otter from 1 to 4 April; the search for the Golden Egg at Jurong Bird Park from 1 April to 2 May; a whole range of Easter-themed activities at Shangri-La Hotel from now to 4 April; as well as navigating a thrilling bunny hop obstacle course at the Power Kids gym!
2. Songkran Water Fest
Have a splashing good time at the Songkran Water Fest – the Singapore edition. Held at Wild Wild Wet for the entire month of April, Songkran is a roaring celebration of the Thai New Year. This special holiday is usually marked by a water fight of gargantuan proportions that take over the streets of Thailand.
Arm yourself with a powerful water gun or super soaker, and drench everyone that you meet! Try to time your visit from 3 to 5pm, where staff with water gun backpacks will be instigating fun water fights! Take pictures with a tuk-tuk, Thai decor, and a giant super soaker – all to the tune of pumping electronic dance music. Check out the Thai-themed figurines, or try to shoot down a spinning target with a water gun. There’s just so much to do; buy your tickets here!
