Which comes first: kare pan (Japanese for curry bread) or curry bun?

Kare pan is a popular Japanese food comprising Japanese curry wrapped in a piece of dough, which is then coated in bread crumbs and deep fried or sometimes baked.

In Singapore, we have the ubiquitous curry bun that is eaten for breakfast, snacks and tea.

In this episode of MAKAN WARS, we get to taste three popular brands of curry buns: Indian Muslim Bakery, Bread Talk and Curry Times.

Follow our hosts Adi Rahman and Kevin Wong as they bite into the buns to determine which gives the most kick and leaves you feeling shiok!
