One week has passed since my unboxing of the Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro 5G and here’s what I think of the phone. It follows all the current flagship feature trends, both negative and positive. Although it doesn’t differentiate itself much from the other Android devices, it’s performance and competitive price point allows it to rise up against the rest.

Body

The phone is large, there’s not doubt about it, and it rather heavy as well. Even those with larger hands might find it a little difficult to use the phone with only one hand. The back of the phone is very reflective so it smudges easily. On the back of the phone, there is a camera bump that is very large so the phone isn’t able to lay flat on its back. The phone doesn’t have a 3.5mm headphone jack and it doesn’t support expandable storage. However, what makes the phone stand out is the power button that also acts as the fingerprint reader. It works extremely fast and does not require much effort to unlock the phone. It makes unlocking the phone feel very satisfying.

Camera and Display

The camera captures great images, especially in good lighting conditions. 8K video recording is quite expected to have on flagships nowadays, and Xiaomi included that too. The phone has an LCD IPS display, with a 144hz refresh rate. It is really responsive and works smoothly with most applications. Color accuracy is also great, especially with HDR videos.

Battery and Performance

A fully charged battery allows for a day and a half of usage. Unfortunately, the phone doesn’t support wireless charging. The phone’s processor, the Qualcomm SM8250 Snapdragon 865, allows the phone to perform well in almost any application. Larger games like Genshin Impact run smoothly, even at the highest settings.
