About Singapore Vegan Festival

SVF 2019/EatRoamLive

The Singapore Vegan Festival was inaugurated in 2019 to spread awareness about plant-based foods and prove that veganism doesn’t have to be boring.

In recent years, Singapore has seen an exponential increase in the interest and uptake of a plant-based lifestyle driven by an increasing focus on health and wellness, and raised consciousness about the climate crisis. More and more people are becoming aware of the benefits of consuming less meat, and embracing a plant-based diet.

The Singapore Vegan Festival hopes to bring together and showcase the abundance of wonderful vegan options that have sprouted in Singapore, and bring together a community passionate about learning and exploring more about the vegan lifestyle.

The festival embraces people wherever they are in the vegan journey. Whether you are a seasoned pro or just curious to learn more, the Singapore Vegan Festival will definitely have something in store for you!

What can I expect?

SVF 2019/EatRoamLive

Festival goers can expect a series of talks and workshops by esteemed guest speakers, cooking demonstrations, panel discussions, and a wide array of vegan products and services.

Held using Delegate PLAY, the Singapore Vegan Festival takes on a novel 3D immersive virtual environment that emulates an actual convention centre. Attendees will be getting the full festival experience complete with a virtual lobby, exhibition halls, and exhibition booths.

There will be ample opportunities to visit the booths and interact with vendors through multiple touch points. These include a resource hub for attendees to download product brochures and essential documents, calendars for booking consultation slots, virtual meeting rooms, as well as live chat and ecommerce functions for a complete customer experience.

Highlights from the festival include a cooking demonstration by world-renowned vegan chef Damian Piedrahita. Chef Damian has worked in kitchens across Spain and Northern Italy, and is currently situated at the Shangri-La Hotel here in Singapore. To share more about the vegan movement, Vegan Luxury Specialist Camilla Parmigiani will be coming in from Italy to share more about the current situation of Plant-based Guest Experiences in high-end hospitality. Finally, Kuntal Joshier, an accomplished mountaineer and photographer, will be tuning in from India to share more about his journey of ascending Mt. Everest on a 100% vegan lifestyle.
