I unboxed the Oppo Reno 4 Pro 1 week ago and after using it for the last seven days, I’m now ready to share my thoughts on the phone.

WATCH: Oppo Reno 4 Pro Unboxing & First Impressions

Body

Largely due to the plastic frame, the phone is really light. Side buttons are way too thin; it doesn’t feel satisfying to click. The speaker is basic — not impressive but functional — and calls sound clear on the phone. The phone has a 3.5mm headphone jack, which is wonderful to have.

Display

The best thing about the phone is the display — its 90hz refresh rate on the Super AMOLED display provides vibrant colours and smooth usage for all applications. The processor (Snapdragon 720g) is good enough for everyday use and casual gaming. However, it does not provide enough performance for certain larger games.

Camera

As for the camera, it is good enough but not amazing. The pictures and videos taken look great on the phone and on social media, but when viewed on a larger screen, they do not look as good.

Charging

The SuperVOOC 2.0 charging system works fast, even though we did not hit the advertised 0-100% battery charging in 36 mins (ours finished in 41 mins). The initial charging speeds were impressive.
