Join us in a swinging celebration of Singapore’s 55th birthday featuring jazzy renditions of well-loved Singapore and ASEAN songs and original local compositions, including the world premiere of “The Lion Roars Again” by JASS Associate Director Weixiang Tan!
With our Jazz Association Singapore Orchestra (JASSO) led by Jeremy as Music Director, Weixiang Tan as Associate Music Director and joined by many noteworthy local vocalists including Alemay Fernandez, Rudy Djoe and New York-based Melissa Tham, as well as Shabir Tabare Alam who will be performing with JASSO for the first time, this will be a fantastic celebration of our nation’s birthday. We will also have musician Mohamed Noor, who will be playing the tabla, to add a unique local flavour to our concert. The concert will also include a special appearance by Joanna Dong.
