Don’t Let Daddy Know (DLDK) – one of the world’s biggest EDM – will be ringing in 2023 for Singapore at Expo Hall 3 on 31 Dec and it is going to be a party like never before: in style with top-notch production, dance, and of course, music.
Party goers will be enthralled as EDM masters like headliner Dutch dynamo Don Diablo take to the stage in Singapore. Currently ranked seventh on the prestigious DJ MAG Top 100, Don Diablo will be bringing his future house beats to party all night as he ushers in 2023.
Joining the Dutchman on stage are compatriots Blasterjaxx, Dutch DJ duo Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, Australian DJing twin-sisters NERVO, and Britain’s rising star Pink Panda.
DJs hailing from Asia are not left out.
Taiwan’s powerhouse resident DJ Lynne, Korean breakthrough artist DJ Koo, and Singapore’s very own DJ Farah Farz, will be rounding off the lineup in an east meets west of EDM beats.
A spokesperson for event organiser IMC Group Asia told TheHomeGround Asia that it is “excited to showcase Asia to the world”.
“While we curate live experiences for all, as a company based in Asia (and) operated by Asians, IMC has always supported artistes here and in the region. It’s what we know best and it makes sense as the geographical region is closely-knitted. But more importantly, we feel that Asia has so much to offer the world, including live entertainment. Many Asian artistes and musicians have had illustrious careers with sell-out concerts beyond our continent and won awards, including the Grammy. It’s something to be proud of,” she said.
“We’re always excited to showcase Asia to the world, bring the world to Asia or, in the case of our DLDK New Year’s Eve bash, let them share the same stage,” she added.
Singapore DJ Farah Farz told TheHomeGround Asia that the music scene in Singapore is thriving and that many talented musicians are coming here.
“I know of local music producers that are as young as 11 years old and are killing it! It’s amazing how diverse our sounds are. Every band, singer, DJ, and rapper, have their own unique style and sound. There really is something for everyone, given that one’s musical taste is subjective to each person,” she said.
Adding, “There has also been a surge of music festivals and concerts as well which is awesome! It’s been so long since we all got to enjoy attending raves and shows together. Everything is slowly picking back up from where it was left off. It is so exciting!”
Don’t Let Daddy Know
DLDK began as a club night on the party island of Ibiza over 10 years ago, evolving into a movement, and later a lifestyle, before taking the world by storm. Today, the DLDK brand is one of the world’s leading music festivals with sold-out events in more than 20 countries, including the Netherlands, Thailand, Myanmar, Chile, and Britain.
After almost a two-year hiatus of large scale events, Singapore ravers will soon fulfil their dreams of partying all night as the DJs return live to the turntable when DLDK makes its appearance at the island nation after playing in Britain and Bangkok in October.
“I think what everyone needs is energy. You need a whole lot of energy to party from afternoon till night so come prepared. Get yourself a good rest the night before! On festival grounds, be sure to stock up on drinking water because “Hydrate to feel great!”. Attending a festival also means that it is an opportunity for you to dress up! There is nothing like “too much” when it comes to festivals. For me it’s go bold or go home!” DJ Farah Farz exclaimed.
