Armed with our 360 camera, TheHomeGround paid a visit to the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre to suss our their permanent exhibition – Discovery of SINGAPO人: Discovering Chinese Singaporean Culture.
Discovering what it means to be Chinese and understanding the Singaporean Chinese Culture. As a cosmopolitan city that is constantly interacting with other cultures because of our geographical proximity and social diversity, we have produced our very own Chinese Singaporean identity which is complex and constantly evolving.
A permanent exhibition filled with immersive zones filled with hands-on fun and engagement – there are five cultural zone that covers different aspects of Singapore cultures.

- Zone 3: When Cultures Meet?
- Zone 4: Made in Singapore
- Zone 5: Making Our Mark Around The World.
The interactive exhibition is a must visit. Visitors will get an opportunity to view nostalgic archival footage and original videos of Chinese heritage, interactions and policies. How families lived, interacted and socialised in Singapore and discover the origins of Singlish and famous hawker foods such as chicken rice, chilli crab and laksa
